Below is a start of the images collected from Mantrap Lake, most of which are post cards that go back to the early resort era. Naturally most are pictures of the cabins and amenities but a few gems and shorelines can be made out in others. The most striking difference being the age of the trees if you look carefully. The deforestation results in a much younger forest than we are used to today.

I believe this is ‘The River’ looking north from the Trails End area. This is the most striking example of young growth forest as compared to today.

Again note the young forests and lack of cabins on the north end. Olson’s in the bottom right corner looks positively sparse.
